Wayne Berman (Member) is Managing Director, Ogilvy Government Relations. President George Bush appointed Berman Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Policy in January 1989, a post from which he was the principal adviser to the Secretary of Commerce, served as the official US liaison to foreign business groups and oversaw more than 60 projects that resulted in new export orders for US goods.
He is the founder of Berman Enterprises, a lobbying and business consulting firm, which merged with Ogilvy Government Relations in January 2004. He is the Vice Chairman of JLT America, a London based international insurance brokerage. In the early 1990s, he served as a managing partner of America Mercantile Group, a private merchant bank.
Berman has played a substantive political role in just about every Republican presidential campaign of the last generation. He was a senior advisor to the Bush/Cheney transition in 2001, the vice presidential campaign director for Dole/Kemp and deputy director of the Republican National Convention in 1996, director of congressional relations during the Bush/Quayle campaign in 1988 and a deputy director of the Bush/Reagan transition team in 1981. He has served in a variety of fundraising capacities in every Republican presidential race since 1992.
Berman has served on the board of trustees for the Library of Congress, the Center for Strategic and International Studies as well as the Center for the Study of the Presidency and helped lead campaigns for So Others May Eat, (SOME). He has appeared on CNN and CNBC.
A native of Rochester, NY, Berman received his BA from the University of Buffalo and attended graduate school at Georgetown.
Keith McVicker (Member) founded Personal Lines Insurance Brokerage, Inc. (PLI) in 1984. Ten years later PLI
became a subsidiary of The Chubb Corporation. McVicker received his BS in Industrial Management and his
MS in Finance from the University of Illinois. He is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU),
as well as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). His article, "Property and Liability Insurance Issues Are
Often Ignored," was published in the April 1998 issue of Trusts & Estates. In 1999 McVicker started Lane McVicker, LLC.
Michael Carmody (Member), prior to joining Lane McVicker, was a Vice President of PLI Brokerage, a subsidiary of The Chubb Corporation. Carmody has developed risk management expertise in the family office and high net worth arena working with advisors to reduce exposure to risk. In the 1980's, while at Allstate he served as Territory Manager for the state of Illinois. Carmody received his BS in Marketing and Business Administration from Southland University.
Gilbert Lai (Member), prior to joining Lane McVicker, was a Vice President and Northeast Regional Director of Aon Private Risk Management. Lai's focus has been on program design of risk management solutions for affluent families in the U.S. He began his career in 1990 as an underwriter in Chubb's Personal Insurance Division. In 1994, he transferred to Personal Lines Insurance Brokerage, Inc. (PLI), eventually becoming a Vice President of Sales. Lai received his BA in Political Science and History from Franklin & Marshall College.
Brett Woodward (Member), prior to joining Lane McVicker, was a Vice President of PLI Brokerage, a subsidiary of The Chubb Corporation. Woodward has been a featured speaker at
the FPA (Financial Planning Association) of Illinois financial forum, Midwest NAPFA conference, and the FPA of Colorado conference. His programs focus on the need for financial
advisors to incorporate risk management as part of an overall financial plan. He began his insurance career in 1990 with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, completing his
tour as a Regional Appraisal Manager. Woodward received his BS degree in Marketing from the University of Scranton.
Amy Ciasulli (Member) began her career in 1989 with Continental Insurance Company's Executive Training Program. After twelve years of managing National and Regional
accounts she joined AIG's Private Client Group as a Business Development Manager for their in-house property-casualty business. Ciasulli received her BA from Montclair State
College with a concentration in Economics and Russian Area Studies.
Mitch Freedman (Vice President) began his insurance career with Aon Corporation in 1999 in their commercial healthcare practice, providing risk management solutions to large integrated delivery systems and managed care organizations. Starting in 2002, he launched, developed and managed the personal insurance brokerage operation for Aon Private Risk Management in Washington, DC. Freedman received both a Bachelor degree in Political Science and an MBA from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
Rita Kline (Account Executive) began her insurance career with Chubb's luxury home appraisal arm. She then joined JP Morgan/Chase in their Private Client Insurance Group, designing insurance solutions for customers. Kline's last assignment has been Manager of Client Relationships for AIG's Private Client Group. Kline received her BS in Marketing and Business Administration from Temple University.
Marin Weinberg (Vice President) began her insurance career in 2001 as an Underwriter with Chubb's Personal Lines Division. In this position Weinberg developed an in-depth knowledge of Chubb's Personal Lines product offering. Her responsibilities included managing a network of brokers throughout the New York metropolitan area. Weinberg received her BS in Finance and Marketing from New York University.
Sal Lundy (Assistant Vice President) began his insurance career in 1991 with Sentry Insurance. Lundy later moved to the distribution side of our industry joining a New York insurance agency where he was promoted to manage the agency's personal insurance division. In this assignment, Lundy was responsible for managing a team for new business development, customer service and carrier relationships. Lundy holds the Certified Insurance Service Representative designation. He is currently enrolled on a part-time basis at DeVry University where he is working on an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing.
Paul Gallagher (Vice President) began his insurance career in 1989 as an underwriter in Chubb's Personal Lines Division. He quickly evolved as a player in Chubb's
personal insurance sales, sales management and marketing efforts. Gallagher later moved to the brokerage side of the industry, working for Marsh and Aon in client facing roles.
With an underwriter's understanding of insurance policy contracts, he brings a unique and valuable perspective in counseling high net-worth persons. Gallagher received his BS in
Environmental and Business Economics from Cook College at Rutgers University.

Kelley Danis (Assistant Vice President) began her insurance career with Aon Risk Services in July 2000 as part of the internal communications group for the Midwest Region. She joined Aon Private Risk Management in December 2000 and soon thereafter was promoted to the relationship management role. In this position Danis was responsible for developing innovative risk management solutions for existing clients as well as servicing new business. Prior to joining Aon, Danis attended Vanderbilt University and earned a BS in Human & Organizational Development.
Penne Crews (Assistant Vice President) began her insurance career in 1980 with State Farm Insurance. In 1989 she joined Alexander and Alexander, a national insurance brokerage, to manage VIP accounts for the southern region. In 1994 Alexander & Alexander was purchased by PLI Brokerage. Penne remained with PLI as a Senior Account Manager for 11 years. Through the years, Penne has developed a strong expertise in complex matters such as family offices, personal insurance coverage for professional athletes, sports memorabilia collections and equine exposures.
Bill Van Ingen (Vice President) began his insurance career with Aon Private Risk Management in 2004 as a relationship manager. He quickly moved into an advisory role where he was responsible for the development of personal insurance and risk management programs for successful individuals and their families. Bill's prior business experience was in brand management. He holds a BA in History from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
DeAnna Pledger (Account Executive) began her insurance career with Marsh & McLennan's Personal Client Services working with high net worth individuals. Prior to joining Lane McVicker, DeAnna was with PLI Brokerage, then a subsidiary of The Chubb Corporation. DeAnna received her BA degree in Communications from The American University in Washington DC.
Linda Butz (Associate Manager) began her insurance career at National Liberty Corporation (now Aegon) in government relations. Most recently she worked in non-profit administration. Butz holds a BS degree in management, summa cum laude, and an MBA from Rosemont College.
Craig Low (Account Executive) spent two years as a volunteer missionary in Southern California before graduating from Brigham Young University with a BS in Psychology and Business Management. Low began his professional career as a mortgage broker with HongKong and Shanghai Banking Corporation prior to joining Lane McVicker.
Heather Gladwell (Assistant Vice President) began her career in personal lines insurance in 1998 at an independent agency in Maryland. Prior to joining Lane McVicker, she grew within the field, working for Marsh & McLennan's Private Client Services in New York, where she was responsible for managing insurance portfolios for affluent individuals and families. Heather received her BFA in Communication Arts from New York Institute of Technology.
Patricia O'Brien (Assistant Vice President), prior to joining Lane McVicker, was an Assistant Vice President in the Family Office practice of Marsh Private Client Services. In this position she was responsible for the structure and implementation of complex personal insurance programs for multi-generational families. Prior to Marsh O'Brien was a Vice President with Rockefeller Risk Advisors, handling both family personal needs along with commercial insurance. She received her BBA from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University in New York. O'Brien holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation and is nearing completion for the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification.
Kyle Kindzierski (Account Executive) began his insurance career in 2007 as a client service representative with AIG Private Client Group. He quickly worked up the ranks as an Underwriting Technician and most recently as an Underwriter. In this position Kindzierski developed an in-depth knowledge of AIG Personal Lines and their product offering. His responsibilities included managing a network of brokers throughout the New York metropolitan area. Kindzierski received his BS in Marketing Management and a minor in Finance from Virginia Tech University.
Christopher Shanks (Account Executive) has spent his entire career in the sales and service of personal lines insurance with the majority of his experience working with the unique needs of the high net worth segment. Chris gained his experience working at PLI Brokerage as an Inside Sales Representative and HUB International as an Account Executive. Chris earned a BS degree in Finance with a focus on insurance practices from Illinois State University in 2000. Chris is currently in the process of obtaining the CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) professional designation. Chris also served 6 years in the Illinois Army National Guard retiring in 2001.
Daniel Izard (Aviation Advisor) retired in 2008 as Chief Operating Officer of Endurance Specialty Holdings, Ltd. (NYSE: ENH) a Bermuda based property and casualty insurer and reinsurer. One of its earliest employees, Dan founded its aviation practice. He joined Endurance from Associated Aviation Underwriters, Inc. (AAU), a managing general underwriter owned by Chubb and CNA, where he served as President and CEO for 14 years. AAU, now a part of Global Aerospace, is one of the world’s leading aviation specialist underwriters.
Dan spent five years as an officer in the U.S. Air Force where he flew jet transport aircraft including a tour in Southeast Asia flying rescue helicopters. He graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
He served as President of the London-based International Union of Aviation Insurers; as Chairman of the Associate Member Advisory Council, and member of the Board of Directors of the National Business Aviation Association; and as a Trustee of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He received the Flight Safety Foundation’s Business Aviation Meritorious Award in 1994.
Diane Beatty (Vice President) began her insurance career in 1985 as a marketing representative for Progressive Insurance Company. After learning the specialty market Beatty moved to Fireman's Fund Insurance Company as a territory manager where she expanded her product and contract knowledge to the affluent arena. She spent the last 11 years on the company side of the business with Chubb. Beatty spent an extensive amount of time training and developing new staff as well as assisting agents with client reviews and proposals. This experience allowed her an effective transition to the brokerage side of the business where she joined USI Insurance Services. At USI she managed a personal lines department and led the organization in affluent client sales and service programs. Beatty received her BA in Journalism from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where she was a scholarship athlete and four time national soccer champion.
Cindy Clauson (Associate Manager) began her insurance career with Liberty Mutual in Boston in 1974 as part of their Personal Lines Customer Service Department. Clauson later moved to the agency side of the industry adding sales to her service experience. As part of this transition, Clauson spent seven years with Long and Foster insurance. Her last assignment before joining Lane McVicker was as an account manager with USI Insurance Services, specializing in high net worth personal insurance. Clauson received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia in English Literature.
Tyler Chalk (Associate Manager) began his insurance career in 2002 with State Farm. He then joined the Private Client Department of Marsh & McLennan Companies as a Client Advisor. In this position, Chalk focused exclusively on the insurance needs of high net worth individuals and families. Chalk is currently in the process of obtaining the CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) professional designation. Prior to working in insurance, Chalk was a professional music performer and teacher. Tyler holds a BA in Music Performance from Cal State Hayward University.
Julie Lovall (Associate Manager) began her insurance career in 2002 in St. Louis, Missouri at an independent agency specializing in high net worth clients. She then joined Daniel and Henry as an Account Manager in Personal Insurance Services. Her responsibilities also included serving as department Trainer and Team Coordinator. Prior to joining Lane McVicker, Lovall was with Marsh Private Client Services in Chicago as a Client Advisor with emphasis on affluent clients. She holds the designation of CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative). Lovall received her BS degree in Business from Missouri State University.
Kevin Griffiths (Associate Manager) began his insurance career as an Account Representative at Elias B. Cohen & Associates. In this role, Griffiths was responsible for handling the personal insurance needs of high net worth clients. Prior to working in insurance, he worked at the State Street Bank in Boston as a Fund Accountant. Griffiths received his BS in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
